Rules were updated this year to encourage captains to employ the strategy used in the last two years, but only in the playoffs.

Due to the excessive number of makeup games needed and the close standings for 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, it was agreed to have all teams participate in a gauntlet playoff in lieu of making up the games.

Tie Breakers

The ranking of tied teams in the standings may not be accurate. Tie breakers are applied in the following order:

• Head-to-head records (for three-way or greater ties: head-to-head records against all tied teams)
• Overall run differential
• Head-to-head run differential against all tied teams
• Head-to-head records for all but the first matchup (e.g. 5 of the last 6 matchups).

Games played in place of a forfeited game are considered pickup games. Therefore, those runs scored do not count toward either team's run differential.
