Mark:

- Game was supposed to start at 11:30 but EVERYONE was late except Mark and Sergio (and Cruzer, but he took like 30 minutes to park)
- We had to play at field across the street from our usual spot because some crazy football shenanigans were happening.
- John B and Slider were coerced into being captains and decided they would be the starting pitchers. Hilarity ensued.
- Slider played opposite day with his fielders, putting Mike at first (hilarity ensued), Mark at third, and Brian in the outfield.
- Mike is a terrible first baseman. (Just kidding, don't steroid-murder me!)
- Alvin finally hit a ball into the outfield, and was robbed on a really nice catch by Sergio. Slider's bench reacted thusly: "YEAAAAAAAAAAHHH-NOOOOOOOO-BOOOOO SERGIO!!!"
- Kevin made several nice catches in center, including a sliding job to rob Thomas of a hit.
- Cruzer recorded his 99th (Mike) and 100th (Brian) strikeouts of the season when he came on in relief in the 5th. They were the only two strikeouts in the whole game. When Cruzer came on, Brian and the rest of the Slider bench started talking about who would be the 100th. Brian was the obvious choice.
- Some flag football fuckers were playing a game in left-center toward the end of our game. They wanted our cones, but fuck them.
- Slider pitched a complete game with no walks and no strikeouts, probably the first time that has happened in the history of the universe.
- Stealing was not allowed due to the presence of rivers on the infield. When I asked why, I was told "Because fuck you, thats why"
- Mike insists that there was free food. This has not been confirmed, nor has the price of said free food.
- Oh and the first five batters in the lineup for Slider's team perfectly recreated the Townsville first-five from the ESC. Better results, though. Sorry Roger.

Slider:

- John B 3rd - mike r didn't single, he roe (3b) which is why cruzar didn't score (and because cruzar's an idiot for not realizing there were two outs and should have run on the pitch). mark knocked down the ball, but couldn't filed it cleanly.

-i don't think you captured the moment when mark with his bronto-clete stabbed third and then, much like peter boyle in young frankenstein, walked/kicked the bag away so wilson couldn't touch it, and then failed to field a groundball. Oh yea, the ground ball was a throw from mike from first, not a hit from the batter. i then thought the ball was kicked and tried to argue that wilson kicking the ball away was a better, more realistic example of what happened, not believing mike threw a grounder and mark stabbed third. i stood corrected. :)

- roger made the greatest throw of his life, starting a double play on a pop up that slider tried to catch but missed completely due to his ineptitude at fielding his position. the pop up bounced, roger caught it, and threw a bullet to first, and the mike accidentally threw another bullet to second where the tag was made. In all my years of baseball, I do not recall ever seeing an error by the pitcher turn into a beautful double play, let alone a 2-3-6. absolutely stunning! I must admit, I got a bit of a baseball boner.
- Kevin made truly awesome catches to save my ass from giving up more runs. Kudos to you sir. In addition, my knees were very jealous of your diving prowess in the field.

- All 27 outs for John B's team were recorded in the field, as Slider failed to strike anyone out. However, Slider did not walk anyone, not even reaching a three-ball count on a batter until the fifth inning. There would be a few 3-ball counts to come, but hitters became impatient waiting for the ball to reach them after being thrown, often doing a crossword puzzle. As Bob Ueker said, they're swinging at pitches that leave monday, but they don't arrive until tuesday.

- John B and Slider were on pace to set a record timewise (which I think we accomplished). Having no "ptiches" neither pitcher had to waste time getting signals or shaking the catcher off.

- Several players remarked how amusing/ironic/funny it was that they went 0-fer against John B and then got hits off cruzar. TWIST!!!!

- clubs in nyc suck. and sean paul is not 80s music.

Cruzer:

- Notes on Adam (slider)'s game notes:

As Adam continues to spell Cruzer's name wrong, Cruzer had a broken foot, so idiot may be, but not for that play. I would have been tagged or thrown out.
