Christos is the original ringer. He was a member of the original Stuyvesant team, but he went to Hunter High School, where he pitched for their baseball team. One of only two players in the league with "pro" experience, Plakas is a standout pitcher, an excellent hitter and a mobile defender. Christos makes a name for himself at the plate by being a good contact and doubles hitter, and on the mound he exhibits the kind of control that made him second in the league in K:BB ratio. Who cares if he has to leave games early sometimes for "pit stops"?
