ESC II: In Like Flynn
ESC II was played in August 2001, three blocks from the World Trade Center and three weeks before the terrorist attacks on the WTC. GAS won again. Jason Flynn was unofficial most valuable player by hitting two home runs. This time everyone was about to leave for college so there was a less celebratory, more somber feel to it.
Notes of Interest
* Time of Game: 4:15+
* Wilson offered a trade of Inna for a Pepsi. He would be declined.
* Special surprise guests included Carpio, Inna and Jen Callus
* Ray Chung hits Inna with a pitch in the ninth inning. Wilson and Christos proceeded to run after Ray from the GAS bench and Ray runs into the outfield. Roger and Flynn and Jackson join the minor melee. When Ray was tackled to the ground in shallow left center Jackson said "see Ray? That's why you should of stayed on the track team."
* Following the game Roger tried to attack Wilson from behind, and as he was being chased by Wilson he didn't see Benclement in front of him. Benclement clotheslined Roger, creating a slight bump on the back of his neck.
* Charley did not make a bad baserunning blunder for once. We love Charley.
* Matt arrived in the fifth inning, and instead of playing defense searched for a boomerang he bought from Paragon. He threw it once and it never came back. He was upset, obviously.
* Townsville is on pace to win by one run in 2007.
* If Kevin got a base hit or a walk in the ninth, Roger would of been the tying run at the plate in the bottom of the ninth, fresh off hitting a bases clearing triple. But Kevin grounded out.
* Flynn and Wilson were the top players on team GAS. Those two happened to also be the only returning members of the Ghetto All-Stars.
* Roger, Mangan, Jackson and Cohen were the returning Mojojojos
* Jackson threw an XFL Football to Roger with a bat, the ball ended up jamming his thumb. Thanks asshole.
* The game started only 50 or so minutes late.
* After the game, Christos pointed to the H hat and said "that stands for Hunter. That's why we won!"
