Another stressful week as there was heavy rain in the forecast all day Friday. Only 11 people were committed to a Saturday game by Friday morning, with a couple more committed to a Sunday game. By early afternoon Friday, it was determined there would be significant sun cover Saturday morning, which would help dry the field. After three hours or light rain, CC checked the field to find it in pretty good shape with no major puddles. Bruce ruffled some feathers on the email string trying to get people to play. He had the most invested as he was coming from Philadelphia.

By the 8pm deadline, we had 15 Yeses on the spreadsheet, but some were still questionable due to a history of flaking in bad weather. Jacob Fowler agreed to come and Fernando confirmed a new guest, bringing us to 18.

The sun rose bright and early just after 6 am. CC arrived to the field first at 9:45. Bruce, Mark, Jose and Ruben also arrived before the 10:30 scheduled start time. We ended up starting around 11:35. The hangover brothers aka Fausto and Johan were late, causing them to get the teams named after them. Kaplan's friends Jamie and Ariel returned, bringing us to 20.

Jacob Fowler was dominant again as pitcher, striking out 9 in 5 innings.

The debut of Fernando's friend Arturo.

The season debuts of Jose Cornier and Jacob Fowler.

With Kareem absent, only Mike remains eligible for a pizza party.

Ruben Sr snapped his 28-game hitting streak.
