Jacob bursted onto the scene in mid-2015 and had a historic season, garnering the highest season OPS of anyone with at least 62 plate appearances since 2002 (when games were played on the small Peck fields). Unfortunately, his MVP candidacy was diminished due to him missing nearly two-thirds of the incredibly long season. He did, however, win an outfield Gold Glove and narrowly lost the Rookie of the Year award to his uncle, Ruben Sr.
